Lesley Gold is an observer, inspired by the patterns, shapes and details which make up the space that surrounds us. She has an energetic appreciation and love for traditional craft and values the meditative nature of a repetitive handmade process. Borrowing the Shaker philosophy, “do your work as though you had a thousand years to live and as if you were to die tomorrow,” Lesley places a tremendous emphasis on craftsmanship in her own work, both in fibers and wood.
Lesley graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design in 2009 with a BFA in Fibers and from the Cabinet and Furniture Making program at North Bennet Street School in 2016. Woodworking by day and quilting by night.
